Overview

In this role you will design and develop applications, primarily in Visual C#.NET, across Oracle and SQL Server databases, while coordinating testing, deployment, and production support. You will work with multiple teams to analyze business requirements, implement changes, and maintain system change history. The position also covers maintenance of legacy VB.NET, VBA, and macro-based programs, and requires collaboration with support, network, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and optimize data processing. This role offers exposure to full software delivery lifecycle and disaster recovery environments, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable applications.

Responsibilities
  • Understand business requirements and design application structures
  • Develop in Visual C#.NET for Oracle and SQL Server
  • Perform data analysis and scripting (T-SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Test with users and support deployment through Dev, QA, Production, and Disaster Recovery
  • Support existing VB.NET, VBA for Excel/Access, MS VB, and Excel Macros
  • Define database objects and liaise with DBAs
  • Set up system distribution to Citrix and application servers
  • Follow team development policies and keep production up-to-date with .NET Framework updates
  • Coordinate with Development, Technical Support, Network, and Infrastructure teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain change history and assess data processing load impacts
  • Refresh development and production environments as needed
  • Roll out changes with proper testing and approvals
