As a Principal Software Engineer you will provide technical leadership across the technology function, shaping architectures and engineering standards for scalable, secure enterprise applications. You’ll mentor engineers, partner with senior stakeholders, and drive delivery from concept to production. You will influence technology decisions that align with business objectives and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic oversight to advance the company’s technology strategy and resilience.

Responsibilities
  • Own the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise applications
  • Define and champion software engineering standards, architectural patterns, and reusable frameworks
  • Lead complex technology initiatives from concept through deployment and support
  • Drive improvements in code quality, security, testing, performance, automation, and DevOps practices
  • Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes
  • Oversee the support and maintenance of critical applications, ensuring reliability and incident management
Key requirements
  • Experience in financial services or related consultancy environments (preferred)
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies and C#
  • Proficiency in one or more additional languages (Java, Python, Rust, or JavaScript)
  • Back-end application development experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based development
  • Strong relational database and SQL skills
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
