C++ Qt User Interface Intern

Build C++ and Qt user interface features as an Altera Quartus User Interface Intern in Toronto, supporting visualization and analysis tools.

This fixed-term internship supports Altera's Quartus User Interface team. You will work directly with experienced software engineers on GUI infrastructure throughout the Quartus design flow. The work includes software development, debugging, testing, and documenting new capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user interface features using C++ and Qt
• Document new interface features and supporting infrastructure
• Investigate issues and debug complex Quartus tool problems
• Improve visualization tool usability, reliability, and performance
• Develop unit, integration, and regression tests

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science degree
• Interest in software development, user interfaces, or visualization
• Experience with C++, Qt, Python, Tcl, testing, or debugging
• Interest in hardware and software systems
• Eligibility for required Canada export authorizations
