Overview

In this role, you will design and develop the networking OS components that drive data centre switches and routers, with a focus on programming the network ASIC. You will work closely with hardware and control-plane teams to ensure seamless software-hardware integration and performance. You will fix defects, participate in code reviews, and help improve testability and reliability of the networking software. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge data centre networking and requires staying current with industry trends to shape robust, scalable solutions. You will work in a collaborative environment that values hands-on problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop the networking OS component that programs the network ASIC for data centre switches and routers
  • Fix bugs and improve performance within the specified software area
  • Collaborate with hardware and control plane teams to ensure integrated operation and provisioning of control plane information into the chip
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
  • Troubleshoot issues in the networking operating system and support automated testing to ensure quality and reliability
  • Stay updated with networking trends and incorporate them into software design
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Familiarity with Ethernet and IP-based protocols; dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF at minimum)
  • Ability to work with industry standards (IETF RFC, IEEE) and implement described behavior in C
  • Proficiency in C programming language
  • Experience developing software for Linux OS and in data centre/telecom environments
  • Ability to work with large codebases, navigate and interpret code efficiently
  • Experience debugging complex, multithreaded software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
