California Licensed Senior Coder

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the California Licensed Senior Coder will assign DRGs, APCs, ICD-10, and CPT codes to various patient account types while ensuring compliance with AHA and UHDDS guidelines. Key responsibilities: Assign appropriate coding for Inpatient, Outpatient Clinical, Emergency Room, Same Day Surgery, and Observation cases Ensure coding accuracy and adherence to relevant guidelines and regulations Collaborate with healthcare teams to support accurate documentation and coding practices Required qualifications: National Certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders or equivalent certifications from the American Health Information Management Association Minimum of 1 year of CPT and ICD-10-CM acute care hospital coding experience Proficiency in coding for all patient account types, including inpatient and outpatient settings
