Cardiac Sonographer - New Castle, DE

A hospital in the New Castle, Delaware area is looking for a Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist to join its cardiovascular imaging team!

Position Highlights

• Permanent, full-time position

• Day/evening shift: 10:00 AM 6:30 PM, Monday Friday

• Five 8-hour shifts per week

• Holiday, on-call, and occasional weekend rotation required

• Primarily outpatient cardiac imaging, with occasional coverage at another location

Position Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) examinations to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular conditions.

• Obtain high-quality cardiac images and document patient histories and examination findings.

• Assist cardiologists during transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures.

• Support the clinical training of cardiac ultrasound students and cardiology fellows.

• Provide compassionate patient care across a variety of age groups.

• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as scheduled.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of a diagnostic medical ultrasound program, allied health program, or equivalent training

• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification, or registry eligibility

• Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within one year of employment or eligibility.

• CPR certification required

• Cardiac sonography experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a cardiovascular imaging team
