Cardiology - Electrophysiology Physician
Curative
An established, high-demand EP program with a clear succession plan is seeking a cardiac electrophysiologist. This is a 100% EP role at a primary referral center serving a broad regional catchment, with room to expand procedural access. You'll have strong lab resources, EP-focused call, and a path to partnership.
What We Offer
- 100% EP practice: Balanced mix of consultations, device management, and procedures, with an anticipated 50% procedural and 50% consultative split.
- Procedural volume and access: Approximately 1,300 EP cases annually, plus significant unmet demand; the group anticipates a full ramp-up in about 3 months.
- Dedicated EP resources: Dedicated EP lab with CARTO mapping, pulsed-field ablation capability for AF, and full cardiac anesthesia support 4 days per week.
- Predictable EP-focused call: One day per week call with about one weekend per month; general cardiology takes first call and you cover EP-specific cases.
- Compensation and long-term upside: Preliminary base of approximately $750,000 for years 1 and 2, $60,000 sign-on, about $20,000 relocation, productivity after year 1 with a 12,500 RVU threshold and $60 per RVU payout, plus partnership anticipated after year 2 and ASC buy-in after year 3.
Candidate Requirements
- Fellowship-trained cardiac electrophysiologist.
- Comfort performing routine EP procedures independently, including AF ablations, SVT and atrial flutter ablations, pacemaker and ICD implantation and generator changes, cardioversions, and loop recorder procedures and monitoring.
- Experience with atrial fibrillation ablation; PFA experience is highly desirable.
- 2 to 3 years of experience preferred, but newly fellowship-trained candidates will be considered.
- Interest in helping develop the EP service line, device clinic, and future ASC capabilities.
- Visa candidates considered, including H-1B and J-1, subject to applicable requirements.
