Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Locums - Kearney, Nebraska, Interventional Cardiology Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role

• Coverage Starting in January and Ongoing Need
• 2 Weeks/Month
• Interventional Cardiology coverage
• Inpatient rounding, procedures, clinic, and night call
• Must be able to interpret echocardiograms
• STEMI call coverage required

Schedule & Coverage

• Coverage runs 7:00 am-7:00 am
• Monday-Friday inpatient rounding
• Saturday and Sunday inpatient rounding
• Clinic: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm when not covering inpatient service
• Provider may cover clinic while also taking call
• When not on call, provider will round and perform procedures

Practice Setting & Case Mix

• Weekday inpatient census: approximately 8-10 patients
• Weekend inpatient census: approximately 6-7 patients
• Add-on cardiac catheterization procedures, primarily inpatient
• Approximately 8-9 add-on catheterization procedures per week
• Additional cardiac services include EKGs, echocardiograms, Holter monitoring, peripheral vascular studies, nuclear medicine, and cardioversions

Support & Systems

• APP and Hospitalist support
• Epic EMR

Requirements & Credentialing

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology required
• Nebraska license or active IMLC highly preferred
• Echocardiogram interpretation required
