Locums - Paducah, Kentucky Interventional Cardiology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist for locums coverage in Paducah, Kentucky. This inpatient role is focused on 24-hour EMTALA call coverage and includes both interventional and general Cardiology responsibilities. IMLC candidates may be considered if they can provide 3-7 days of coverage per month.

Coverage Dates

• November 23-26, 2026

• December 1-4, 2026

• December 29, 2026 - January 1, 2027

• Ongoing need for approximately 3-7 days per month

Assignment Details

• 24-hour on-call shifts

• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM

• Approximately 3-7 days of coverage per month

• Inpatient / EMTALA call setting

• No ambulatory clinic responsibilities

• Adult patient population

Position Highlights

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient Interventional Cardiology coverage

• Respond to all Cardiology calls for the hospital

• Provide General Cardiology consultations as needed

• Manage adult inpatient Cardiology patients

• Perform urgent and emergent interventional procedures

• Interpret cardiac diagnostic studies

• Collaborate with the existing Interventional Cardiology team

Procedures & Skills

• Balloon angioplasty

• Coronary angioplasty

• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

• Heart catheterization

• Coronary angiography

General Cardiology Responsibilities

• Respond to all hospital Cardiology calls

• General Cardiology consultations

• Interpret EKGs

• Interpret echocardiograms

• Interpret stress tests

• Interpret nuclear stress tests

Support & Technology

• 2 Interventional Cardiologists in the group

• Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during locums coverage

• EMR: Epic Cupid

Requirements

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology required

• Active Kentucky medical license required

• Active DEA required

• IMLC candidates may be considered with 3-7 days per month of availability

• ACLS required

• COVID vaccination preferred

• Must be comfortable with both Interventional and General Cardiology responsibilities

• Inpatient Cardiology practice

• EMTALA call coverage

• No ambulatory responsibilities

• Collaborative Interventional Cardiology group

• Existing cardiologists remain available during locums coverage
