Locums - Fargo, North Dakota Interventional Cardiology Opportunity

Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Fargo, North Dakota. This role requires 10 days of coverage per month and includes inpatient cardiology, urgent interventional cardiology call, weekend General and EP Cardiology coverage, and TEE. The physician must be at least one year out of fellowship and practicing independently.

Assignment Details

• Start date: January 1, 2027

• Ongoing need

• 10 days of coverage per month required

• Strong preference for two 5-day stretches each including a weekend

• Will also consider one 10-day consecutive stretch that includes two weekends

• Provider will hold the pager for the entire duration of each assignment block

• Beeper call

• 30-minute call response time required

• Call coverage for assigned and unassigned patients

• Approximately 15 patients seen

• Approximately 5 phone consultations

• Approximately 3 admissions

• Call ratio: 10/10

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Cover the inpatient Cardiology service during weekdays

• Work alongside an inpatient APC during weekday coverage

• Hold the pager throughout the entire assignment

• Provide urgent weeknight Cardiology coverage

• Cover General Cardiology and EP Cardiology hospital services on weekends

• Evaluate assigned and unassigned patients

• Respond within 30 minutes when called

Weeknight Call Responsibilities Monday-Friday call may include:

• Urgent inpatient cardiac catheterizations

• Temporary pacemaker placement

• STEMI coverage

• Stat echocardiograms

• Urgent EP calls and consultations

Weekend Responsibilities

• General Cardiology hospital service

• EP Cardiology hospital coverage

• Inpatient cardiac catheterizations

• STEMI coverage

• Stat echocardiograms

• Urgent EP inpatient evaluations and consultations

Procedures & Skills

• Interventional Cardiology procedures

• TEE required

• Urgent inpatient cardiac catheterization

• Temporary pacemaker placement

• STEMI management

• Stat echocardiography

• Ability to assist with urgent EP inpatient needs and consultations

Support & Technology

• Inpatient APC support during weekdays

• EP Cardiologist available during weekdays

• Locum physician provides EP coverage during weeknights and weekends

• EMR: Epic

• Level II Trauma Center

Requirements

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology required

• Interventional Cardiology fellowship required

• TEE proficiency required

• Must be at least 1 year out of fellowship

• Must have at least 1 year of independent practice experience

• Must be comfortable providing weekend and weeknight EP coverage

• Must be able to provide 10 days of coverage per month

• Must meet a 30-minute call response requirement

• Hospital-based Cardiology service

• Inpatient APC support during weekdays

• Dedicated EP Cardiologist manages weekday EP coverage

• Locum physician provides General, Interventional, and urgent EP support during weeknights and weekends
