Join a well-established acute care hospital in the Greensboro, NC area seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning December 2026 .

Position Highlights

Long-term assignment (69 weeks)
Night and weekend coverage only
No invasive procedures required
Read Echo and Nuclear Studies
Consults and E&M services only
Epic EMR
Adult patient population

Schedule

Coverage needed a minimum of:

  • 1 week per month
  • 1 weekend per month (as needed)

Shift Times:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Friday: 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Saturday: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Sunday: 5:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Responsibilities
  • Inpatient cardiology consults
  • Evaluation & Management services
  • Read echocardiograms and nuclear studies
  • Care for patients admitted under the cardiology service
  • Maintain charge documentation logs
  • Act as second-call support during assigned shifts
Requirements
  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • Active North Carolina Medical License
  • DEA License
  • ACLS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Experience with Epic EMR
Practice Setting
  • Acute Care Hospital
  • Adult Patients
  • Collaborative cardiology team
  • No temporary pacemaker coverage required (covered by EP physician)
