Cardiology Program Director opening in Gainesville, FLLocated in Gainesville, FL - Ocala 40m; Jacksonville 75mFull-time; PermanentPrivate PracticeInpatient/OutpatientAcademic Leadership OpportunityCardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program DirectorSeeking Board-Certified Cardiologist Overview: Serve as Program Director for a new ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program Provide leadership, mentorship and oversight while maintaining an active clinical Cardiology practice Provide general Cardiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings Interpret echocardiograms and perform additional cardiac procedures appropriate to subspecialty training Share attending responsibilities for general Cardiology inpatient services Participate in multidisciplinary cardiovascular programs Lead fellowship curriculum development, trainee recruitment, evaluation and progression in accordance with ACGME requirements Mentor fellows and residents in clinical and scholarly activities Collaborate with Graduate Medical Education leadership to ensure program compliance and continuous improvement Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national meetings Support grant development and scholarly collaboration Faculty appointment available through an affiliated College of Medicine MD or DO degree and Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease required Must have at least 3 years of documented educational and/or administrative experience within an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency or Cardiovascular Disease fellowship Must be eligible for Florida medical licensure Demonstrated scholarly activity including research, publications, presentations or committee involvement highly encouraged Position has been revised to remove previous Heart Failure requirements Comp/Benefits: Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Direct employment with an established private practice Partnership track Faculty appointment with an affiliated College of Medicine Collaborative opportunities with academic faculty Comprehensive clinical and academic support system Group/Facility Info: Established cardiovascular practice serving North Central Florida for nearly 40 years Dedicated team of approximately 30 cardiologists, vascular specialists and APPs Main campus located in Gainesville with an additional satellite location in Lake City New ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program Long-established infrastructure supporting comprehensive cardiovascular care Strong environment for graduate medical education, clinical research and scholarly activity About the Area:Gainesville is a vibrant north-central Florida community known for its university atmosphere, healthcare and education sectors, and abundant outdoor recreation.
