Physician - Cardiology


Job Details:

  • Cardiology physician coverage providing nights and weekend second call coverage

  • Minimum 1 week per month and 1 weekend per month (as needed for scheduling); shifts do not need to be consecutive

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:00 PM 6:00 AM (10 hours)

  • Friday: 8:00 PM 7:00 AM (11 hours)

  • Saturday: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM (14 hours)

  • Sunday: 5:00 PM 6:00 AM (13 hours)

  • Patient population: Adult

  • Provide consults upon request and evaluation & management (E&M) services only; no procedures required

  • Read Echo and nuclear studies performed in the hospital

  • Provide care for patients admitted under the Heartcare department

  • Required to maintain a manual log of all charges

  • Pager provided by the Heartcare department

  • EMR: Epic

  • Hospital practice setting

  • Board Certification in Cardiology required

  • Active North Carolina state license required

  • DEA required

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Minimum 1 2 years of experience required

  • Local candidates only
