Cardiology Physician

Coverage Type: Scheduled + On-Call Required
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital Cardiology & Cardiac Testing

Schedule:

• Coverage cadence: 1 week on / 1 week off
  
• Block: Thursday at 5:00 PM through the following Thursday at 5:00 PM
  
• Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM onsite coverage
  
• Weeknight call: 5:00 PM 8:00 AM, phone/beeper coverage
• Weekend call: Saturday 8:00 AM Monday 8:00 AM, 24-hour call coverage

Clinical Setting:

• 99-bed full-service hospital
  
• Approximately 46 medical-surgical beds and an 8-bed open ICU
  
• Cardiology group includes 3 cardiologists and 3 APPs

Responsibilities:

• Inpatient hospital consultations
  
• Stress testing and graphics interpretation
  
• Procedures, including TEE and DCCV
• Phone consultations during call; minimal callbacks expected on weekends

Licenses Required:

• Active Maine medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
  
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
