Locums Cardiology Rockport, ME (ME license or active IMLC LOQ) Why This Role
- 1 week on / 1 week off schedule
- Will consider 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Primarily inpatient Cardiology with cardiac testing and procedures
- Established team of 3 Cardiologists and 3 APPs
- After-hours call typically managed by phone Assignment Details
- Start: ASAP, once credentialed
- Duration: Ongoing
- Schedule: 1 week on / 1 week off; 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off considered
- Coverage type: Inpatient + Cardiac Testing + Call
- Weekday hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p onsite
- Coverage rotation: Thursday 5p through the following Thursday
- Weeknight call: 5p-8a
- Weekend call: 24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday
- Call coverage: Two hospital locations during nights and weekends
- After-hours calls typically managed by phone; onsite response required when clinically necessary
- Setting: Inpatient Cardiology and cardiac testing
- Patient population: Adults only
- Hospital capacity: Approximately 46 MedSurg beds and 8 open ICU beds
- Support: 3 Cardiologists and 3 APPs
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing: Approximately 90-120 days Clinical Details
- Inpatient Cardiology consultations
- Cardiac stress testing coverage
- Cardiac graphics interpretation
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Direct current cardioversion (DCCV)
- Inpatient cardiac evaluation and management
- After-hours and weekend Cardiology consultations
- Coverage of inpatient cardiac needs across two facilities during call Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
- Active ME medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
- Epic experience required
- Proficiency in cardiac stress testing, interpretation, TEE, and DCCV
- Comfortable with inpatient consultations and night/weekend call
- COVID and flu vaccinations required
- 2 supervisor references and 1 peer reference from the past 12 months
- Full credentialing and presentation required at submission
- Availability for 1-week or 2-week coverage rotations Compensation
- Facility is accepting bids
- Hourly, overtime, holiday, night call, weekend call, and callback compensation
- Malpractice included in submitted rates
- Travel and lodging reimbursed per facility policy
