We are seeking aBoard-Certified Interventional Cardiology Physician for locum tenens coveragein Paducah, Kentucky. This opportunity involves inpatient cardiology and EMTALAcall coverage for an adult patient population. The physician will provide interventionaland general cardiology services, respond to hospital cardiology calls, andinterpret diagnostic cardiac studies.

Schedule & Practice Details

  • Shift: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
  • Schedule: 3-7 days per month
  • Weekend Requirements: Yes
  • On-Call Requirements: Yes
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient / EMTALA call
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Clinic Volume: No ambulatory responsibilities
  • EMR: Epic Cupid

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all cardiology calls for the hospital.
  • Provide inpatient interventional and general cardiology consultations as needed.
  • Perform balloon angioplasty, coronary angioplasty, PCI, cardiac catheterizations, and coronary angiograms.
  • Interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests, including nuclear stress studies.
  • Coordinate with hospital teams to support timely evaluation and treatment of cardiac patients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic Cupid.

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
  • Active Kentucky medical license
  • ACLS certification
  • Active DEA registration
