Cardiology Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified InterventionalCardiology Physician for a locums opportunity in Kearney, Nebraska. Thisposition offers a mix of inpatient cardiology coverage, outpatient clinicresponsibilities, cardiac catheterization procedures, and STEMI call coverage.The physician will work alongside APPs and hospitalists to providecomprehensive cardiovascular care.
Schedule & Coverage
Minimum commitment: 2 weeks per month,starting in January and ongoing.
WeekdayInpatient Rounds: Monday-Friday.
WeekendInpatient Rounds: Saturday and Sunday.
OutpatientClinic: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, on days notassigned to inpatient service.
Call Ratio: 1:3.
Weekend coverage and call responsibilitiesrequired.
Average callback hours: 9.8 hours on weekdaysand 10.4 hours on weekends.
Facility Details
Hospital Size: 175 beds.
WeekdayInpatient Census: Approximately 8-10patients.
WeekendInpatient Census: Approximately 6-7patients.
CardiacCatheterization Procedures: Approximately 8-9 add-on procedures per week, primarily for inpatients.
EMR: Epic.
Clinical support from APPs and hospitalists.
Responsibilities
Provide inpatient cardiovascular care andconduct daily rounds.
Perform add-on cardiac catheterizationprocedures, primarily for hospitalized patients.
Provide outpatient cardiology evaluations andfollow-up care.
Respond to STEMI calls and manage acutecardiac emergencies.
Evaluate and treat patients with coronaryartery disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
Develop treatment plans and coordinate carewith APPs, hospitalists, and other specialists.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation inEpic.
Requirements
Board-Certified in Interventional Cardiology.
Active Nebraska medical license.
Experience performing cardiac catheterizationand interventional cardiology procedures.
