Locums Inpatient Cardiology Rockport, ME Why This Role

• Week-on/week-off schedule
• Two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off may also be considered
• Weekday inpatient and cardiac testing coverage
• After-hours and weekend calls are typically managed by phone
• Established team of three cardiologists and three APPs
Assignment Details
• Start: As soon as credentialed
• Duration: Ongoing
• Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 Äì120 days
• Setting: Inpatient with cardiac testing responsibilities
• Patient population: Adults only
• EMR: Epic
• Approximately 46 medical-surgical beds
• Open ICU with 8 beds
Schedule
• Coverage begins Thursday at 5:00 PM and ends the following Thursday at 5:00 PM
• Monday ÄìFriday onsite coverage: 8:00 AM Äì5:00 PM
• Weeknight call: 5:00 PM Äì8:00 AM
• Saturday and Sunday: 24-hour call, 8:00 AM Äì8:00 AM
• Weekend and after-hours call supports two regional hospitals
• Onsite callback is uncommon but required when clinically necessary
Clinical Responsibilities
• Stress testing coverage
• Cardiac graphics interpretation
• Inpatient consultations
• Transesophageal echocardiography
• Direct-current cardioversion
• Cardiac testing call coverage
Requirements
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease
• Active Maine license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
• Current Epic experience
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccination
• Two recent supervisory references and one peer reference
• References must be from within the past 12 months
• Must provide overall and locum-tenens experience
• Full disclosure of any employment, credentialing, privilege, disciplinary, or professionalism concerns
