Job Details:
Provide outpatient and call coverage for general cardiology services Schedule consists of Monday through Friday clinic days with weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call Shift times are 8-hour days within clinic hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Minimum of 4 weeks per month required Monthly call schedule includes on-call coverage 2 weeks per month: 1 week Monday through Sunday and 2nd week Monday through Friday Long-term, full-time assignment Average of 15 patient encounters per shift Outpatient cardiology, inpatient cardiology, and ICU experience required Non-invasive cardiology skills required, including echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology Invasive cardiology (diagnostic) preferred, including cardiac catheterization, PA catheter placement, and IABP placement Interventional cardiology preferred, including angioplasty, intracoronary stent placement, and atherectomy Electrophysiology skills preferred, including cardiac ablation, permanent pacemaker placement, and ICD implantation Board certification required; active license or IMLC required ACLS certification required; DEA required Clean files preferred Facility:
This is a Level 3 trauma center offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including a dedicated cardiology department with 12 beds. The facility supports a broad scope of cardiac care, from non-invasive diagnostics to preferred invasive and interventional procedures, serving the regional community with high-quality cardiovascular services.
