Cardiology Physician Assistant

Massachusetts - Cardiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician AssistantHospital-Based Cardiology Fall River, MA 45 Minutes from Boston

An established cardiology group is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team of Board-Certified Cardiologists in Fall River, Massachusetts.

The successful candidate will be part of the inpatient Cardiology rounding team , working under the supervision of a cardiologist.

Position Highlights

• Hospital-based, inpatient Cardiology position

• Join an established team of Board-Certified Cardiologists

• Perform inpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care

• Evaluate and manage interventional cardiology patients before and after procedures

• Coordinate follow-up care and communicate closely with Hospitalists and Primary Care Providers

• Opportunity for training in the supervision of cardiac stress tests

• No participation in the acute STEMI emergency team

• No requirement to scrub in the cardiac catheterization lab

• Schedule: Three 10-hour shifts per week

• Rotating daytime weekend coverage every fourth weekend

• EMR: Epic and eClinicalWorks

Candidate Requirements

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Massachusetts license required

• Valid DEA certificate

• Active Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration

• Familiarity with:

  • Cardiac diagnoses

  • Cardiac procedures

  • Cardiac medications

• Experience caring for cardiac catheterization patients is preferred

• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Epic and eClinicalWorks

• Compassionate and mature professional with excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively within both a specialty cardiology team and hospital system
