Overview
In this role you will support the Fire & Security Systems team across the Taunton/Exeter area by maintaining, servicing, and commissioning security systems. You will work on-site or remotely to troubleshoot faults, perform preventative maintenance, and keep accurate records, while also covering out-of-hours shifts. You will engage with customers, share knowledge, and contribute to audits and quality procedures. This is a hands-on, client-facing position in a safety-critical, tech-enabled environment.

- Attend maintenance calls on-site or by phone as directed
- Rectify faults on first visit when within your control
- Carry out a rolling programme of preventative maintenance visits
- Collect/record site configuration information
- Maintain car stock (spares) levels
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Provide cover on an out-of-hours basis on a rotating basis
- Commission small projects when required
- Ensure audits are carried out of quality procedures
- Provide training to customers and colleagues as required
- Carry out any additional tasks as required
- Previous electro mechanical experience
- Experience installing & servicing access control systems, CCTV systems and intruder alarm systems
- Experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems, ideally GENT based
- An IT qualification and/or Electrical/Electronic qualification
- Broad technical IT knowledge (Windows OS installation; networking)
- Knowledge of basic electrical principles (voltage/current)
- Good attention to detail to ensure paperwork and procedures are followed within timescales
