Overview

In this role, you will service and maintain GENT Fire Detection and Alarm systems across Bristol and surrounding areas, ensuring reliable operation and compliance. You’ll work within the Fire and Security Systems team to perform maintenance, fault rectification, and testing, while managing customer assets and training colleagues. The role combines field service with basic IT tasks and stock control, contributing to safe, integrated security solutions for clients. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply technical expertise in a widely-used security platform while supporting customers and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs
  • Rectify faults on fire detection and alarm systems
  • Perform weekly tests and record results
  • Collect and record site test configurations
  • Maintain client spares stock levels
  • Provide training to customers and colleagues
  • Maintain customers asset register information
  • Handle additional tasks as required
Key requirements
  • Electrical/Electronic qualification
  • GENT training certification
  • ≥5 years experience servicing GENT Fire Detection and Alarm Systems
  • Broad IT knowledge (Windows, Excel)
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles (voltage, current)
  • Strong attention to detail and procedural compliance
  • 5-year checkable employment history & Right to work in UK/EU
