Overview
As a Principal Strategic Architect, you advise CIOs/CTOs and senior leaders on long-term architecture and automation strategies. You will lead executive discussions on platform adoption, governance, and investments, serving as the accountable post-sales technical lead for flagship accounts. You’ll shape AI and agent-based automation journeys, aligning them with security and risk requirements. This role drives multi-year expansion and tangible business outcomes through advisory delivery and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary executive technical advisor to customer CIOs, CTOs, and senior business stakeholders
- Own long-term customer architecture and automation strategy aligned to business priorities
- Lead executive-level discussions on platform adoption, governance maturity, and technology investment decisions
- Act as single point of accountability for post-sales technical strategy for flagship accounts
- Shape AI and agentic automation journeys leveraging Workato’s capabilities
- Partner with executives to define enterprise MCP strategies including context management, secure orchestration, and lifecycle governance
- Drive expansion, adoption depth, and renewal confidence through strategic advisory and roadmap alignment
- Lead high-impact professional services engagements requiring executive judgment and architectural depth
- Guide customers through enterprise automation target-state definition and prioritization of use cases
- Define and enforce architecture principles, standards, and guardrails across implementations
- Create reusable executive assets and serve as a Workato evangelist across automation, integration, and AI
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
- 20+ years of technology transformation consulting experience (integration, middleware, or API management)
- 15+ years in Enterprise Architect, Digital Architect, or similar senior role
- Proven experience advising C-level executives on technology strategy and transformation
- Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, and operating models
- Track record of driving platform expansion and value realization through professional services
- Excellent executive communication skills including board-level presentations and strategic docs
- Ability to operate independently in complex, ambiguous environments and own outcomes
