Overview

In this role you will lead the development of analytical data products and self-service tools to monitor UK Claims KPIs and enable real-time decision making. You will drive analytics strategy aligned with the UK Claims data roadmap and contribute to MI and analytics change priorities. You will build data-driven insights that improve performance, customer experience, and claim outcomes while promoting data literacy across the portfolio management team. This is a London-based opportunity to shape analytics at Sompo and collaborate across functions to deliver value.

Responsibilities
  • Develop analytical data products to monitor and report UK Claims KPIs and contribute to UK Claims analytics change priorities
  • Create self-service reporting tools to enable real-time management information
  • Promote data literacy within UK Claims and educate stakeholders on data-driven decision making
  • Ensure regulatory and internal policy compliance in analytics outputs
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships across UK Claims and other Sompo functions to raise performance and customer experience awareness
  • Produce regular analytical reports and insights for Portfolio Risk Managers and Senior Management; serve as a go-to analytics reference for the team
  • Guide and advise team members to share knowledge and best practices; support objective achievement
Key requirements
  • Experience in data and analytics environment; financial services experience advantageous
  • Extensive experience with extracting data from systems and using analytical tools
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL; Python knowledge advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
  • Collaborative team player with attention to detail and investigative skills
  • Ability to produce detailed reports and analytical packs at multiple levels
