Clinical Applications Specialist ( PACS / RIS / VNA )

Overview

In this role you help optimize Agfa solutions across hospitals in Europe North by analyzing clinical workflows, configuring products, delivering training, and supporting go-lives. You will work with cross-site teams to align solution options with contracts and user needs, while ensuring high-quality, timely implementations. You’ll also handle troubleshooting, service management, and sales-related activities, contributing to standardisation and process improvement. This position offers field-based collaboration across multiple countries with a focus on impactful digital imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical and interface workflow analyses with Agfa colleagues
  • Design and discuss workflows in line with contract specs and user requirements
  • Configure and customise products and manage customer expectations
  • Develop training and implementation concepts; deliver training on/off site
  • Provide go-live support on-site for new/upgraded solutions
  • Manage project budgets and document according to guidelines
  • Ensure timely, high-quality implementation following best practices
  • Fault evaluation with remote/on-site visits; take site responsibility as directed
  • Engage in sales-related activities such as tenders, demonstrations, conferences
  • Adhere to ITIL framework and stay updated on Agfa Healthcare solutions

Key requirements
  • Broad technological expertise in PACS/RIS radiology workflow
  • Excellent knowledge of hospital/clinical workflow
  • Thorough understanding of radiology clinical applications
  • Working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards
  • Strong ability to develop and deliver end-user training (classroom, on-site, virtual)
  • Excellent planning, self-discipline, and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent training and presentation abilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Superior customer advocacy/satisfaction skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with AGFA PACS/RIS
  • Experience as PACS/RIS System Administrator
  • Experience as a technical/applications trainer
  • Strong travel flexibility and overtime readiness
