Cloud Architect

Are you an innovative, solutions-focused and collaborative technology professional? We are seeking a Cloud Architect to join our Information Services team at Nottinghamshire Police.

What you'll do

As our Cloud Architect, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering cloud-based solutions that support policing and public services. You'll work alongside developers, business analysts and technical specialists to design, build and maintain secure, scalable and cost-effective cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing and deploying cloud-based solutions using industry best practice
• Supporting business change initiatives through automation and innovative technology
• Monitoring and optimising cloud infrastructure performance, security and scalability
• Identifying and resolving technical issues while improving existing systems
• Advising on cloud strategy, architecture and future technological developments
• Working closely with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet organisational needs
• Managing cloud costs and forecasting future requirements to maximise efficiency

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions within AWS and/or Azure environments
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, security and infrastructure best practices
• Experience developing Microsoft 365 solutions and using software development tools and techniques
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as C# and PowerShell
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work collaboratively within agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Relevant qualifications, certifications or equivalent experience in cloud technologies
