Cloud Architect

As a Cloud Architect at Waters Corporation, you will shape the software architecture for next‑gen chromatography data systems and scalable, multi‑tenant SaaS solutions. You’ll enforce design standards, champion AWS and security best practices, and mentor teams while collaborating with stakeholders. You’ll build PoCs in high‑risk areas to de‑risk architecture and help ensure safety in medicines and related processes. This is a hands‑on, impact‑driven role at a company delivering critical tools to customers worldwide.

• Create and document architectural designs from stakeholder input
• Act as architectural design authority and enforce high‑level design and implementation standards
• Establish best practices for AWS architectures, Agentic Engineering, Security, and DevSecOps
• Codify hexagonal architecture in development practice
• Socialize architecture and train team members; update stakeholders on changes
• Hands‑on involvement with implementation teams
• Produce proofs‑of‑concept in high‑risk areas to de‑risk architecture
• Resolve challenges in complex technical issues and de‑risk architecture
• Mentor others on architectural concepts and infrastructure

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Solid experience in application and database architecture and security
• Proven experience designing and delivering cloud platform solutions (AWS Well‑Architected)
• Experience in Agentic Development and Agentic Engineering practices
• Domain‑Driven Design of microservices, polyglot storage, Data Meshes
• API design; multi‑tenant SaaS with high‑volume transactions
• Strong CS fundamentals; algorithms, data structures, design patterns, testing
• Extensive experience with .NET and .NET Core
