This full-time, permanent role within the Architecture & Engineering team is pivotal in transitioning Vancity’s data ecosystems to Azure. You will utilize your expertise in Azure Databricks, Spark, and data governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as PIPEDA and OSFI. Work collaboratively across technical and business units to uphold best practices.
Key Responsibilities: • Design secure, scalable data architectures in Azure • Implement data governance frameworks ensuring compliance • Architect automated data pipelines using Databricks and Spark • Establish metadata standards and lineage practices • Mentor junior team members in governance best practices
Requirements: • Expertise in Azure, Databricks, and Spark • Knowledge of enterprise data governance and compliance • Experience with scalable data pipeline architectures • Strong collaboration skills across functions • Ability to guide technical decisions and mentor others
