Overview

As Cloud Data Architect (Manager) at BIP xTech, you will lead design and delivery of modern data platforms across hybrid and cloud environments, driving secure, scalable architectures for AI and analytics. You’ll guide delivery teams, mentor engineers, and partner with clients to translate requirements into robust designs and reusable assets. This role shapes BIP xTech’s data architecture capability and requires strong stakeholder influence across engagements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead architecture, design and delivery of modern data platforms across on‑premises and cloud environments (Azure and AWS)
  • Own architecture decisions, selecting patterns, technologies and services aligned to client needs
  • Translate business/analytical requirements into clear architecture designs with documentation and standards
  • Oversee delivery across engagements, including planning, governance, RAID, milestones, dependencies and stakeholder management
  • Mentor and develop architects and engineers to ensure high‑quality delivery
  • Design and oversee batch and streaming data pipelines for analytical and operational use cases
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors and partners to ensure solutions meet objectives, security and governance
  • Contribute to reusable architecture assets, reference designs and standards within BIP xTech
Key requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience designing and architecting cloud-based data platforms for analytics and AI
  • Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end data platform programmes with governance and stakeholder management
  • Strong knowledge of modern data concepts: data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouse, data mesh, data governance, security, quality
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure and/or AWS native services for data storage, processing, orchestration and analytics
  • Proven ability to design scalable batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Programming or query skills (SQL, Python, Java, R)
  • Experience managing architecture quality processes (design authorities or architecture review boards)
