Cloud Data Engineer Slalom Canada

Cloud data engineering at Slalom centers on scalable platforms and pipelines. This hybrid opportunity requires living within commuting distance of a Slalom location.

As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary delivery teams. You will design cloud-native platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, and data products. Your work spans AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable cloud-native data platforms
• Build batch, streaming, integration, and orchestration pipelines
• Translate requirements into maintainable engineering solutions
• Apply testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability
• Enable governed foundations for analytics and AI workloads

Requirements:

• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with modern data engineering capabilities
• Understanding of secure, governed, observable data foundations
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
