Overview

In this role you will lead the design, security and evolution of the organisation’s Microsoft cloud stack. You will work within a collaborative IT team to drive cloud transformation and secure, resilient infrastructure. You’ll own key security and infrastructure projects and help shape a modern cloud environment. This is a technically engaging role with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies and hybrid work dynamics.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the management, security and development of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Deploy and configure Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Purview, Entra ID).
  • Advance the transition to a cloud-native infrastructure and reduce on-premise reliance.
  • Implement Purview sensitivity labels and data protection policies.
  • Manage Azure Virtual Desktop, virtual servers and related cloud infrastructure.
  • Strengthen IAM with Entra ID, Conditional Access and privileged access controls.
  • Support cloud security, governance, compliance and vulnerability management.
  • Contribute to automation, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
  • Provide technical expertise and occasional hands-on end-user support.
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity management and cloud security.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and related security technologies.
  • Experience administering Azure infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage).
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, hybrid environments and cloud migration.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex infrastructure environments.
