Cloud Engineer

In this role you will design, build, and operate cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform for a growing portfolio of clients. You’ll work with Cloud Architects and delivery teams to convert architecture into production-ready deployments, spanning infrastructure, data, and AI workloads. You’ll deliver end-to-end implementations—from data pipelines to AI/ML AI/ML workloads—while advancing CI/CD automation and cloud security. This is a London-based position with a focus on practical engineering and client collaboration to drive rapid, reliable cloud transformations.

• Implement, deploy and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to produce repeatable environments
• Build and manage containerised workloads with Docker, GKE and Cloud Run plus production-grade CI/CD pipelines
• Design, build and maintain data and analytics platforms using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer
• Implement and support AI/ML platforms on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Model Garden, Gemini-based tooling)
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting)
• Apply security best practices (IAM, VPC, encryption, compliance controls) to meet client/regulatory requirements
• Participate in client engagements (discovery, workshops, progress reviews) and communicate with diverse stakeholders
• Collaborate with architects, delivery leads, and engineering teams to share knowledge and support junior staff

• Minimum 3+ years’ hands-on Cloud Engineering experience (consultancy or professional services preferred)
• Google Cloud certification (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Developer)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Shell)
• Proven experience delivering solutions on Google Cloud across infrastructure, data, and apps
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes/GKE, and CI/CD tools
• Solid understanding of cloud networking and security (VPC, IAM, encryption)
• Experience with data engineering on GCP (BigQuery, Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub)
• Exposure to AI/ML workloads on GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Model Garden, Gemini tooling)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; proactive, growth-oriented mindset; able to navigate ambiguity
• Eligible for UK Government SC-level security clearance
