Overview

In this contract role, you will design, deploy and manage enterprise Azure Virtual Desktop and DaaS platforms at scale. You’ll implement automation and IaC pipelines, maintain hybrid identity and security controls, and support secure, scalable access to apps and resources. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll drive efficient deployment and governance of cloud-based desktop infrastructure. This opportunity combines hands-on cloud engineering with identity, security and device management to shape a robust VDI environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise VDI/DaaS platforms at scale, including session host provisioning, image life cycle management, and end-to-end deployment automation
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code pipelines (Bicep/ARM/Terraform) and PowerShell automation frameworks
  • Manage hybrid identity environments across on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including Entra Connect Sync, conditional access policies, and MFA configuration
  • Administer enterprise app registrations, OAuth 2.0/OIDC authentication flows, service principals, and managed identities for secure authentication
  • Implement and maintain RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and least-privilege access governance across Azure resources and directory services
  • Deploy and manage MDM/MAM platforms (Microsoft Intune) including compliance policies, configuration profiles, and automated remediation workflows
Key requirements
  • Strong technical experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/Azure VD)
  • Sound communication skills with ability to converse with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience provisioning and managing VDI/DaaS at scale
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Bicep/ARM/Terraform) and PowerShell automation experience
  • Experience with hybrid identity (on-prem AD and Entra ID) and MFA configuration
  • Experience with app registrations, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, service principals, and managed identities
  • Experience with RBAC and PIM
  • Experience with Intune and MDM/MAM platforms
