Cloud Engineer – Fintech

In this Cloud Engineer role, you will own the day-to-day health and security of AWS-hosted platforms for a high-profile fintech client. You will steer cost and complexity reductions while ensuring reliable, secure cloud services and support cross-functional teams. The role includes incident support, change control, and on-call responsibilities to keep critical systems running. You’ll work in a relaxed, open environment that prizes thoughtful, tech-forward decisions and meaningful impact in a fast-moving fintech setting.

• Maintain the operational effectiveness and security of AWS-based infrastructure
• Provide subject matter expertise to internal support and development teams
• Lead cost, complexity, and stability improvements in cloud environments
• Ensure comprehensive monitoring, security, and availability of cloud services
• Design and implement security measures across core IT technologies
• Adhere to change control and release management processes
• Participate in major incident management and root-cause analysis
• Provide after-hours support as part of on-call rotations

• Operational support and design expertise for AWS IaaS/SaaS platforms
• Experience with automation tools such as CloudFormation and Ansible (or similar)
• System administration experience with Linux and Microsoft technologies (patching, security, monitoring)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline management
• Knowledge of networking, security, and related protocols
• Experience with web-delivered application topologies (IIS and related technologies)
