Cloud Financial Markets Software Engineer

Design cloud-based data solutions for Nasdaq in Toronto, combining Java back-end engineering, AWS expertise, and financial markets technology in hybrid work.

As a Specialist reporting to the Senior Manager, you will help deliver complex, production-grade systems for external clients worldwide. Your work will span scalable software solutions, RESTful APIs, Spring, Spring Boot, SQL, and operational support. Collaboration across product and engineering teams is central to the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver back-end applications for critical market infrastructure
• Collaborate with product managers on business requirements
• Develop scalable and reliable software solutions
• Document and maintain functionality for operational continuity
• Guide junior engineers and strengthen team capability

Requirements:

• At least eight years of relevant experience
• Six-plus years as a Java software engineer
• Computer Science, Information Systems degree, or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of AWS, SQL, Spring, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with Git, Maven, Linux, and Bash scripting
