Overview
As a Cloud FinOps Analyst in Hastings Direct, you will monitor cloud spend and translate insights into actionable cost-saving actions. You will partner with cross-functional teams to implement governance, tracking, and optimization initiatives that support our data- and tech-driven growth. Your work will shape budgeting, cost allocation, and financial reporting to inform strategic decisions. This role sits in the Change and Governance FinOps team, helping the CIO function scale cost efficiency across our cloud estate. - Monitor and analyse cloud infrastructure costs to identify trends and optimization opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, etc.) and track outcomes
- Maintain detailed cloud usage patterns and implement measures to boost resource efficiency
- Assist in developing and managing cloud budgets, with regular cost reporting to stakeholders
- Produce accurate financial reports on cloud costs, including cost allocation and chargeback
- Strong financial analysis with ability to present spend insights and recommendations
- Passion for cloud technology and ability to articulate cloud value in technical and financial terms
- Persistent, tenacious, and capable of navigating challenging business situations to find value
- Fundamental understanding of a cloud platform and its cost dynamics; knowledge of Azure, Snowflake, Kubecost and KQL is a plus
