Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure & Data Centre Migration)

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will join a dynamic team at a time of major modernisation and transformation, with responsibility for providing hands‑on technical support to drive the cloud and data centre migration activities.

This will include:

  • Supporting migration of datacentre-hosted workloads into Azure, assisting with planning, build, testing and production cutover activities
  • Support landing zone, networking and infrastructure configuration
  • Assist with application and server migration activities
  • Support supplier engagement and technical validation activities.
  • Review and remediation of high-priority vulnerabilities identified through pen testing activity
  • Implement remediation activities across server and infrastructure platforms
  • Validate controls through testing and evidence collection

The successful Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will have the following skills:

  • Azure Cloud (IaaS/PaaS, networking, identity, monitoring).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, ARM, PowerShell automation.
  • Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy.
  • Backup and restore Solutions e.g. Veeam, CommVault.
  • SQL Server, Azure SQL, backups, HA/DR.
  • Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, SolarWinds.

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will initially join for a period of 6 months to actively participate in the cloud and data centre migration activity, and there is the possibility of extension.
