Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Digital Assets

As part of the Global Cloud Platforms team, you will extend and optimize Optiver’s cloud foundation to support a latency-sensitive digital assets trading tenancy. You’ll build secure, high-performance infrastructure and reliable connectivity for exchange integrations, while enforcing governance and safe multi-tenant operations. This role emphasizes IaC, observability, and incident-driven hardening to sustain always-on trading. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape scalable, low-latency cloud platforms that empower trading outcomes.

• Design and implement low-latency infrastructure using cloud primitives and optimized configurations
• Own and optimize cloud infrastructure performance setups
• Build and operate high-throughput, resilient connectivity patterns for exchange integrations
• Drive security hygiene including secrets management, network segmentation, and traffic isolation
• Implement governance for shared cloud platform enabling safe multi-tenant operation
• Deliver infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt per Optiver standards
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for changes in always-on markets
• Enhance observability with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools
• Participate in incident response, post-incident improvements, and continuous hardening

• Proven experience owning production infrastructure as an engineer (Platform, SRE, or Infrastructure)
• Deep cloud infrastructure knowledge with emphasis on VPC design, compute optimization, and performance networking
• Proven ability to write and maintain Terraform modules and operate IaC safely through reviews, tests, and pipelines
• Solid Linux fundamentals including networking and system performance tuning
• Ability to program in Python or Go for tooling and automation

• Ability to assess business problems and prioritize tasks effectively
