Overview

In this global leadership role, you define and drive the cloud infrastructure strategy to support growth and digital transformation. You lead hybrid and sovereign cloud governance, architecture, and platform modernisation across an international tech landscape. You’ll ensure security, resilience, cost efficiency, and regulatory alignment while partnering with cyber security and business stakeholders. This remote, travel‑heavy role offers a chance to shape cloud capabilities across multiple sites and regions.

Responsibilities
  • Define and deliver the global cloud infrastructure strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Lead evolving hybrid and sovereign cloud operating model balancing shared services with regulatory and data requirements
  • Drive cloud modernisation, migration, optimisation, automation, and lifecycle initiatives
  • Ensure platforms are secure, reliable, cost-effective, and support operational excellence
  • Strengthen cyber resilience and recovery capabilities with cybersecurity teams
  • Own cloud governance, risk management, supplier relationships, and financial performance
  • Lead cloud-related projects, transformations, and integration activities
  • Build and develop a high-performing cloud team and partner with stakeholders to shape global strategy
Key requirements
  • Proven experience managing enterprise cloud infrastructure environments, must have Azure experience
  • Expertise in cloud strategy, migration, operations, and service management
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, cyber resilience, incident response, and governance frameworks
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing multi-region cloud operations
  • Demonstrable success delivering cloud transformation and modernisation programmes
  • Strong commercial awareness and vendor management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior leaders
