Cloud Infrastructure Operations Lead

Lead cloud infrastructure operations at Empire Life using AWS, GCP, or Azure expertise and hands-on systems administration experience. Support hybrid environments and operational resilience.

As Cloud Operations Lead, you will provide technical leadership across cloud operations, infrastructure management, incidents, vulnerabilities, automation, and process improvement. The position requires experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux or Windows, enterprise networking, and scripting. You will coordinate with Production Support, Development, DevOps, and Enterprise Security teams. Empire Life is hiring for its IT Services team and seeks candidates with demonstrated leadership in IT operations, systems administration, or cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide, mentor, and support Cloud Operators and system administrators
• Oversee cloud resource deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring
• Lead responses to alerts, outages, and performance degradation
• Automate workflows using Bash, Python, PowerShell, and IaC
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement recurrence controls

Requirements:

• Five or more years in IT operations or cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on AWS, GCP, or Azure expertise
• Docker, Kubernetes, networking, operating systems, and scripting knowledge
• Experience with monitoring, Sumo Logic, and Jira
• Degree, diploma, or equivalent practical technical experience
