Cloud Native Java Architect

Design cloud-native Java platforms using Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and event streaming while guiding reliable engineering delivery. This is a full-time Citi Technology role.

As a Senior Java Developer Solution Architect, you will own architecture decisions across scalable distributed systems. You will create high- and low-level designs, establish secure engineering practices, and support teams from proof of concept through production. The role requires six-plus years of progressive enterprise experience, including Java and Spring at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design microservices and event-driven platforms across cloud environments
• Establish coding standards, reviews, and secure-by-default patterns
• Optimize concurrency, performance, observability, and operational excellence
• Design Kubernetes, service mesh, CI/CD, and IaC patterns
• Partner with SRE and platform teams on reliability

Requirements:

• Six-plus years of progressive enterprise systems experience
• Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud expertise
• Proficiency with REST, GraphQL, Kafka or Pulsar, and Kubernetes
• Understanding of resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance tuning
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
