Cloud Platform Engineer – GCP & AI

Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to own and develop its established Google Cloud Platform environment. This is a hands-on role combining core GCP platform engineering with the development of scalable, secure AI and agentic capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the GCP/GKE platform, including integrations, identity and security.
• Improve platform capabilities using Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and CI/CD.
• Drive security, resilience, performance, lifecycle management and cost optimisation.
• Support AI and agentic technology adoption, including governance and engineering best practice.

Essential skills

• Strong hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.
• Experience with GKE and modern cloud/platform engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and CI/CD.
• Experience of cloud monitoring, security and cost optimisation/FinOps.
