Cloud Platform Kubernetes Engineer

Build scalable Kubernetes infrastructure at Baseten for mission-critical AI inference, automating deployments and strengthening reliability. Work closely with users operationalizing machine learning.

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will design and maintain systems supporting machine learning model deployment and operation. You will establish reliability standards, optimize performance, and manage incidents. The work includes infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, project ownership, and cross-functional technical collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build scalable infrastructure for machine learning model deployment
• Automate processes across CI/CD pipelines
• Establish infrastructure reliability and performance standards
• Own projects from specification through end-to-end execution
• Translate requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• Extensive Kubernetes experience
• Experience building and maintaining scalable infrastructure
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Jenkins
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in a related field
