Cloud Presales Architect

In this role you shape compelling cloud solutions for complex bids, translating customer needs into secure, scalable, cost-efficient architectures. You collaborate with sales, bid management, and delivery teams to craft technically solid, commercially viable proposals. You work across public, private, and multi-cloud environments, keeping governance and security standards at the forefront. • Design and lead the technical solution for cloud bids across public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
• Produce clear, compelling technical and service responses for ITTs, RFPs, and framework submissions
• Translate customer requirements and evaluation criteria into compliant cloud solutions
• Collaborate with Bid Managers, Sales, Commercial Leads, Delivery Architects, and Solution Owners to ensure viability and alignment
• Develop artefacts such as architecture diagrams, service descriptions, transition plans, assumptions, dependencies, and cost models
• Ensure alignment with governance, security standards, delivery models, and service management frameworks
• Support bid reviews and customer presentations, contributing to solution storytelling and win themes
• Engage with internal teams, partners, hyperscalers, and SMEs to validate assumptions and secure approvals
• Monitor cloud market trends and evolving customer needs to keep proposals relevant
• Contribute to standard bid collateral, templates, architectural patterns, and reusable assets

• Five+ years in IT, cloud architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise technology roles
• Two+ years in a bid, tender, or presales environment
• Proven track record delivering bids in public or private sector
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration on complex, multidisciplinary submissions
• Degree-level education in technical, mathematical, engineering, computing, or business-related discipline
• Advantageous cloud certifications (AWS Professional, Azure Expert, Google Cloud)
