As CloudSolutions Architect, you design and implement AWS-based infrastructure for Genedata’s cloud applications, working with pre-sales and delivery teams to meet complex customer requirements in regulated environments. You’ll translate technical needs into secure, scalable solutions and influence best practices across cloud delivery. The role offers high visibility and remote work from the UK, in a mission-driven company accelerating biopharma R&D. You help customers move faster by combining deep tech expertise with clear, customer-focused engagement.
Responsibilities- Support technical discussions with customers and translate architecture concepts for diverse audiences
- Collaborate with business, pre-sales and delivery teams to design practical, well-architected solutions balancing security, performance, and scalability
- Plan, configure and support cloud deployments of Genedata products in customer environments with alignment to infra, security and operations
- Contribute to IT infrastructure validation at customer sites ensuring compliance with regulatory, internal and client requirements
- Help design and evolve secure, scalable cloud architectures (AWS focus) with emphasis on resilience and operational excellence
- 3+ years in cloud, infrastructure, or systems engineering or similar roles
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix and Windows
- Ability to produce clear architecture, network and deployment diagrams for complex enterprise IT environments
- Practical experience with DevOps and infrastructure automation (scripting, configuration management, CI/CD, monitoring)
- Hands-on AWS design and deployment experience including core services (networking, compute, storage, IAM, security)
- AWS certification strongly preferred
- Nice to have: experience with ITSM/helpdesk tooling and customer-facing delivery in regulated environments
- Excellent customer communication and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative, cross-functional teamwork with business, pre-sales and delivery teams
- Problem solving under regulatory and security constraints
- AWS core services (Networking, Compute, Storage, IAM, Security)
- Linux/Unix and Windows server administration
- DevOps practices and automation (scripting, CI/CD, configuration management)
