Cloud Systems Administrator Ottawa

Manage AWS, Azure, Windows, and Linux infrastructure as a Systems Administrator in a hybrid remote role based in Ottawa, Ontario.

This Systems Administrator manages, maintains, and secures IT infrastructure supporting business systems. The work spans servers, operating systems, cloud services, databases, networking, virtualization, automation, and infrastructure improvements. Collaboration with development and security teams supports reliable access and ongoing technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Windows and Linux servers, operating systems, and VMware environments
• Configure and maintain AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure services
• Manage DNS, VPN access, connectivity, and network troubleshooting
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security
• Apply updates, maintain backups, and support recovery procedures

Requirements:

• Experience administering Windows and Linux environments
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS and VPN technologies
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization, including ESXi
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and prioritization skills
