As a Cobol Developer, you will build and maintain software solutions for a leading financial technology client in the asset management sector. You’ll work within a Scrum team, collaborating closely with clients and cross-functional peers to translate specifications into reliable systems. Expect to tackle a range of technical and business challenges with a strong emphasis on quality, problem solving, and timely delivery. This role offers client engagement opportunities and scope to take ownership of significant projects in a dynamic fintech environment.
Responsibilities- Develop new software aligned with client specifications
- Review client specifications and provide development estimates
- Build and test software to ensure system integrity
- Manage defects and contribute to solution testing
- Participate in Scrum team activities and collaborative delivery
- Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture
- Minimum 2 years of commercial COBOL experience
- COBOL with embedded SQL coding
- Education to degree level
- Experience with COBOL.NET
- Experience with VB.NET / .NET
- Experience using GitLab
- Experience with IBMi
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experience with Open technologies
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
