Salary: 47,760 to 60,000 (depending on experience) + additional benefits

Package: Commercial Data Analytics Manager Package

Location: Reading, with free onsite parking. Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day. This role is eligible for hybrid working, typically involving three days on site during a long week and two days during a short week. Flexible working arrangements can be considered, including part-time and varied hours.

About the Role

At AWE, our shared purpose is to help keep the nation safe. The Commercial Data Analytics Manager leads the strategic and operational management of commercial data across AWE. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, availability, and actionable use of data to drive effective commercial decision-making within the Commercial team regarding third-party spend incurred by AWE. The role reports to the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure Commercial teams have access to timely, accurate, and relevant data to meet performance and strategic objectives.
  • Manage master data of all commercial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems used by the Commercial function.
  • Oversee the data lifecycle, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Implement data protocols, data cleansing, and data maintenance to ensure usable data is available to Commercial colleagues.
  • Coordinate between Commercial, IT, Finance, and other relevant teams in AWE to align data strategy with business needs.
  • Manage the Commercial Data Team.

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Proven professional experience in a related field.
  • Experience working in a Procurement or Commercial function.
  • Experience in data operations and/or commercial analytics.
  • Proven ability to manage large datasets, data transformation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Natural analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business language.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
