Job Type: Full-Time

Salary & Benefits: Package: 47,760 to 60k (depending on experience). Additional benefits included.

Location & Working Pattern: Reading, with free onsite parking. AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday off. The role is eligible for hybrid working, typically three days on site in a long week and two in a short week. Flexible working options are supported, including part-time and varied hours.

About the Role

At AWE, our shared purpose is to help keep the nation safe. The Commercial Data Analytics Manager leads the strategic and operational management of commercial data across AWE. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, availability, and actionable use of data to drive effective commercial decision-making within the Commercial team concerning third-party spend incurred by AWE. The role reports to the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensures Commercial teams have access to timely, accurate and relevant data to meet performance and strategic objectives.
  • Responsible for master data management of all commercial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems used by the Commercial function.
  • Manages the data lifecycle, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Oversees data protocols, data cleansing, and data maintenance to provide usable data to Commercial colleagues.
  • Collaborates between Commercial, IT, Finance, and other relevant teams to align data strategy with business requirements.
  • Manages the Commercial Data Team.

Candidate Experience & Skills

  • Experience in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Proven professional experience, particularly in a Procurement or Commercial function.
  • Experience in data operations and/or commercial analytics.
  • Proven expertise in managing large datasets, data transformation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business language.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
