Salary: Package: 47,760 to 60,000 (depending on experience) with additional benefits
Location & Working Pattern: Reading, with free onsite parking. AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday as a non-working day. This role is eligible for hybrid working, typically involving three days on site in a long week and two days in a short week. Flexible working options are supported, including part-time and varied hours.

Role Overview
The Commercial Data Analytics Manager leads the strategic and operational management of commercial data across AWE. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, availability, and actionable use of data to drive effective commercial decision-making within the Commercial team on all matters relating to third-party spend incurred by AWE. The role reports to the Principal Commercial Performance, Insights & Reporting Manager.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure Commercial teams have access to timely, accurate, and relevant data to meet performance and strategic objectives.
- Manage master data of all commercial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems used by the Commercial function.
- Oversee the data lifecycle, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
- Manage data protocols, data cleansing, and data maintenance to ensure usable data is available to Commercial colleagues.
- Liaise between Commercial, IT, Finance, and other relevant teams to align data strategy with business needs.
- Manage the Commercial Data Team.
Candidate Profile
While not exhaustive, ideal experience includes:
- Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Proven professional experience.
- Experience in a Procurement / Commercial function.
- Experience in data operations and/or commercial analytics.
- Proven ability to manage large datasets, data transformation, and business intelligence tools.
- Natural analytical thinker.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business language.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
